Wellington Camp Reflection!
On Monday 5th of May at 5:45am in the morning, we were on the way to Wellington! We stopped at Murchison and played at the playground. Then once we got to Picton we got our baggage on the fairy and played on another playground in Picton. Once we got to Wellington we jumped on the bus for about a 1hr to Silverstream.
Then on Tuesday, we went on a cable cart to Carters Observatory. We went to the space area. They played an amazing 3D film explaining planets and constellations. After that we went to the rock climbing while the year 6s went to Capital “E”. At rock climbing I was the first one to go down the abseiling wall. Then I climbed up a rock climbing wall and I got to the top and halfway up the ladder. Then we walked to Capital “E” and made some music. We made some really cool music and some were funny. Like the bagpipes and some of the vocals. After that we went to the camp and had dinner then went to Ho2 extreme. The waterslides there were epic! My favourite one was the yellow slide because you go straight down at full speed. Then you get a weird feeling in the stomach like a nauseous feeling. Then there was a cool river ride where you go round and round and the current gets stronger and stronger the more people there are. Then we headed back to camp and went to sleep for the night.
Wednesday we went to the Te Papa to start a scavenger hunt around Wellington while the year 6’s went to Parliament. The scavengers hunt was awesome! We had to walk around Wellington finding statues, historic things and much more. Then together we went through the Te Papa museum. The coolest exhibits weren’t open till Saturday. But we got to see the Gallipoli exhibit which was awesome. It was funny as when Jolan kept trying to grab seagulls then a seagull pooped on him. Then we went to parliament while year 6’s went to do the scavenger hunt.
Parliament was quite cool. We saw a debate and went through security. Then after that, we had dinner and some downtime.
Thursday
We went to the Adrenaline forest which was awesome! They were high ropes and trust me they were pretty high! After that, we went to the Wellington Zoo. It was pretty cool and we took lots of photos. Then we went back to the camp and went back to the ho2 extreme. Then went back to camp and had dinner and went to sleep.
Friday
We finally went back home and it was great to be back.
